Supporting Health Care in Our Community

We are proud that every dollar we raise has a positive impact on health and wellness in Merritt and the Nicola Valley, whether directly or indirectly. With your support and the tireless work of our dedicated volunteers, we have raised money for health care and community wellness since 1912. Thank you, we could not do it without you!

Thrift Shop

The Thrift Shop is our main fundraiser today. Thrifting is not just "in", it's also a way for the entire community to come together and contribute. Every dollar makes a difference and both provides essential items at very reasonable prices and also raises funds for health care programs for residents of the valley.

Supporting Youth

We are committed to engaging youth within our community and supporting them in choosing health care as a career.

We provide youth volunteer opportunities, summer and year-round employment, and offer three $2,000 bursaries each year to students graduating from Merritt Secondary School.

Mature Student Bursary

Supporting health care in our community and contributing to community wellness is our mission, and in addition to our youth program, we also offer a bursary to mature members of our community pursuing careers in health care. If you are planning on a new path in health care, we want to hear from you.

Direct Impact

We support a variety of local organizations that work to improve health care and community wellness in the Nicola Valley, like the Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre, the Gillis House, the Nicola Valley Food Bank, and many more. Over the course of the last 20 years, we have proudly donated close to $2 million.
